The cows followed us through the field for our Sunday constitutional round the wood.  They struggled a little with the steep bits ......

I think the bird I've seen on the river is a  Common Merganser, never got a good photo of them, but I've added a distant shot in the extra . Maybe SpotsofTime can assist? G in the village said  they were Goosander but I think they are too small.

Sunday morning life drawing and house jobs today. Happy to report that thus far,  no limbs have been severed in the production of kindling.
