From ancient to modern with angles

Fascinated by Shrewsbury station today. The old castle overlooking it, the huge redundant water tank, the peeling bridge, the modern train.

I went to meet an old college friend there who I haven't seen for over 40 years! We visited the Abbey, where he is a choirman, and he gave me a brief demo on the fine William Hill organ there.

Now here's an interesting thing: if you go to a Germany town or village, and talk to someone there who has some small interest in the local church, chances are they'll know who built the organ, and be proud of it. In Britain, it is almost unheard of, unless they happen to be an organist. The conclusion is... Well, I've no idea what the conclusion is!
