On the Coast

After a (very) long time away from the coast I decided to get a wee bit creative with my route from Carlisle to Aberdeen.  I headed to Arbroath then followed the coast up to Aberdeen - and took in a few lighthouses en-route.

The building shown (in Arbroath) isn't a lighthouse - but it is the signal tower for the Bell Rock lighthouse (12 miles offshore).

A beautiful calm sunny afternoon promises a smooth ferry crossing from Aberdeen up to Shetland.
