Spring Green

Καλο Μηνα σας! Happy May 1st to you all and Labour Day too.

Temps are still low here and the young leafs show that ,as they do not grow big yet.

In Greece Easter weekend is celebrated. Actually Easter Sunday starts at Saturday's Midnight, when after the Holy Mass in church, the priest calls out "Χριστός Ανέστης"/ "Christ has risen" and he' shares the Holy Flame, what's flown in from Bethlehem, to light someones candle and that candlelight is shared to all by all.
Normally this event happens at Midnight, but due to Corona measures, the Holy Mass and the priest's announcement of Easter and sharing the Holy light happen hours earlier this year. It's impossible to hold back for another year the religious rituals apparently and as offer for the government it's accepted that hours earlier the priests call out that Christ has risen and Easter starts ~ at 21.00 o'clock this happens.

Thank you all lots for your reactions upon my last entries!
