Freo

Affectionately known as "Freo", the Port of Fremantle is a wonderful place to visit when you want to immerse yourself in history.  Today started off really well and we were able to have a great walk along the water front at Cottesloe before heading down to Freo.  South Fremantle is a very old part of the town and full of charming little cottages from another era along with quirky coffee shops.  We decided walking around was the way to go.  I can't go to Freo without going to the fishing harbour.  It's compulsory to have seafood for lunch and I willingly polished off 8 glorious King Prawns.  I have posted some images from that area and decided the seagulls would be the hero today.
The extras are of the pristine white beach and the incredibly calm ocean taken on our walk this morning and the Cray Fisherman, arguably the most photographed sculpture in Western Australia.  I have a feeling I've blipped him before so he's been relegated to an extra this time.
The rain has set in this afternoon so we're back home again and making sure we get our blips up nice and early.
