Poplar yellow

I've had today off to regroup and get a few things done. The emphasis has been on the regroup part. There's always stuff to do.

I did drive to a spot in the countryside a few minutes from home, where I could rake up leaves and fill some big black bags. With my ongoing vertigo there was an ongoing slow circular dance, as my brain made sense of up and down, and sideways movements.

The rake came in handy for more than raking leaves. It was a fine steadying dance partner. Yes, it does get frustrating but it will eventually pass. Concussion isn't forever.

Back to the leaves. They'll eventually be mulch on the garden and add to the soil structure.

Today's gratitude: For simple, slow things.
