A view from St Swithin

Cramond Island

We'd a walk at Cramond this morning admiring the bike skills of Arran and Evie on he wide prom.
We didn't venture across to the island though as the blip shows plenty of folk made the trip. We've made the crossing once - there are good views of the Firth and some old WW2 gun installations but not much else. The RNLI had a stand at the start of the causeway - trying to educate folk I think to watch the tides and not get stranded. One chap e  told me that in the summer they can make up to 5 trips a day to folk who are stranded and were really just a glorified "taxi service".
