Not so cheery cherries

This started off as a shot of the tulips bravely standing up in the hail. The three cherry trees in the picture are due to be cut down this week. They are very old and struggling to produce leaves, far less blossom. The two on the left have been aiming for the sunlight for years I think and are a very odd shape. The one on the other side of the fence belongs to our neighbour who has the other three trees. One is totally dead. Once they have gone there will be more light for the new woodland garden under the huge conifer trees.
