Confluence

Today I enjoyed a wonderful hike at the confluence of the Sandy and Columbia Rivers at Sandy River Delta Park, a 1,400-acre park near Portland.

The area is known by dog lovers for its off-leash areas, and for Maya Lin's art installation of a bird blind as part of The Confluence Project (see extra)

The Confluence connects visitors to the history, living cultures, and ecology of the Columbia River system through Indigenous voices.

It was an enjoyable ramble on a beautiful spring day in the Pacific North West.

Thank you for your comments and stars for yesterday's Blackbird blip.
