Manchester Phoenix 7, Peterborough Phantoms 2

It has been 2 years since we last watched a game of ice hockey, what a great game it is (for non-sporty types like me). The game is fast, exciting and aggressive.

The last time we went to a game, half the spectator seats were empty, but not tonight. It was a sell-out - making a great atmosphere.

Within 5 minutes of the game starting, two opposing players had their gloves and helmets off and were squaring up to each other. Both got 2+2 minutes penalty time out of the game. The first goal went to the Phoenix, then the Phantoms clawed back to 1 -1. By then end of the first period it was 2-2.

Then, the Phoenix couldn't be stopped, with the final result, 7-2. The keepers for Phoenix were brilliant.
