TIGHT QUARTERS

Here's a line of Spec Ford Racers vying for position coming into turn 7 at the vaunted 4.048 mile road course at Road America......America's National Park of Speed. There's some telephoto compression here making the cars appear to be closer to each other than they really are.

Spec Fords (a.k.a. Smurfs) are a good entry vehicle for racers as they are not terribly expensive to buy and maintain. There is an abundance of testosterone among the drivers even though some of them are women. They take their racing very seriously.
