Making whoopie in the market

Philadelphia's famous Reading Terminal Market describes itself thus
Mouth-watering aromas. Produce fresh from the field. Amish specialties. Fresh meats, seafood, and poultry. Unique, hand-made pottery, jewelry and crafts from around the world. The hustle and bustle of a multitude of diverse people.

By mid-morning on a spring-like Saturday the noise level was tremendous as the hustling, bustling multitude tucked into their brunches and lunches, among them this group of Amish matrons taking a break from selling their produce on the stalls.

We bought rabbit and catfish, sausages and bacon, before heading off to stroll around Philadelphia's historic Old City area in the afternoon sunshine.
