Feeding the coot chick

This morning I went to the village hall to vote.  All was very quiet and well organised.  

There were a newly hatched family of coots on the moat.  One parent was sitting on the nest and was (I think) still sitting on eggs as well as brooding youngsters.  Three very tiny chicks were being fed by the other parent then after a short time they returned to the safety of the nest.
