Cheap Petrol

Today’s weather was mixed so we decided on a coastal walk starting and finishing in Ravenglass. Fortunately we got the walk completed before the rain started in earnest. It provided a good mix of scenery including the railway ( see extra ). 

This old petrol pump was in the village...was petrol ever this cheap? Just seven and a half pence in today’s money! 

This is our last night in the cottage. Owing to Covid and the necessary cleaning required we will need to be out by 9am. We are then relocating in order to spend the weekend orienteering. A very enjoyable stay in the Western Lakes. Many thanks for following our adventures.
