Against the odds

A successful day with my Mother. She had  to see a new dentist about her lost crown,  but fortunately she liked her and, most importantly, the dentist was able to stick the crown back in her jaw. 
I managed to get back home this evening, exhausted after four days of doing jobs for Doris, and so grateful that my dear husband has kept our home in good order and had cooked us a nice meal. 
The photo  is of a tiny pansy plant which is growing in the middle of my Mother's driveway.  The flower is a bit battered from all the recent storms but, because of its position, has been spared being run over by car wheels.
