Having got fed up with the pigeons trampling all the flowers in the bed underneath the bird feeder I moved it over the lawn and tied it to a dead apple tree.  Within an hour the goldfinches had found the sunflower seeds but the robin was first, quickly followed by blue tits.  The latter have found fat greenflies on my honeysuckle and are feasting well and they are also working hard cleaning out spiders from underneath the potting table and also cleaning the roses.  Yesterday I watched an adult blue tit feeding a rather fluffy baby as it sat on my pond net..  My camera was elusive
