Asparagus time!

I'm not excited.

I don't care for the stuff, but my dear wife does, so we took a walk to nearby Wright's farm where they have an asparagus bed.

And there it is. £3 a pound. Very analogue.

I carried it, carefully, in my coat pocket for the rest of the walk and a portion was lovingly prepared for lunch. Not for me, I don't like it. I had a sandwich. There's some left for today and tomorrow.

I shall have sprouts.

The asparagus season will be short this year. April was too cold. Get it while you can.
