Today would of been Helston Flora day if there wasn't a pandemic. Rev Danny Reed invited those who lost love ones to put flowers on the trellis outside the Chapel. I picked greenery from my garden and picked bluebells from the hedgerow and make a spray with a photo of our late son inlaw.he danced through his school years and the morning dance when he left school then onto the midday dance.for Helston people this is what they would look forward to on May the 8th.three from the town band were out this morning and beat the drum as the clock struck 7 which would of been the first dance of the day.then at 10 would of been the children's dance ,midday dance where the ladies wore long dresses and men in top hats and morning suits.then at 5 the last dance of the day.it was lovely to hear the floral dance played on radio cornwall this morning. Hopefully next year it will take place as Demelza will dance.
