Progress in the garden

Tivoli was right! (See her comment on April 19.) This did turn out to be an aloe, producing an exotic orange flower. And the spidorwort is blossoming nicely too (see extra #1), having settled into its semi-shady corner. Meanwhile, the purple clematis has almost reach its peak — if you look closely at extra #2, you can see that it’s even twining up and blooming among the lower branches of the apple tree.
