Root vegetable slicer

Part of a display of old farm implements on display in Dulnain Bridge.

This example dates from the early 1900s and although the main components were made by Harpers Ironworks in Aberdeen they were probably assembled by a local blacksmith.

Harpers made items including fence posts for the GNSR and constructed at least one of the suspension bridges which preceded the box girder bridge over the Spey at Cromdale featured in test day's Blip.
