House Finch Nesters

The pair of house finches who seemed to be considering nesting in our bottle bird nest have chosen one of our arborvitae shrubs instead.
It seems they have won the turf battle with Bonnie and Clyde Sparrow!
Needless to say we are happy with this outcome.
The Mom finch brought a huge amount of nesting material into the shrub this morning... she seems to go in one opening and comes out another.
We can watch the comings and goings of these finches, but the nest is buried deep in the shrub to see it.
I am less hopeful of capturing chicks pics with these two nesters..
