Illawarra Lane, Marrickville

I passed this spot on Friday but noticed only later that the white scrap is a poem, so back today. Turns out the theme is love/hate with a threat that if angered, the I of the poem will throw the scrunched-up paper at the object of affection’s heart.

Top right, artist Peter Drew has stuck up thousands of posters of Monga Khan, an Indian hawker from Ballarat, Victoria. The partially obscured strip at the bottom says “Aussie”.

Not sure what the free spiral is doing there...

Oh, and rambutans do taste like lychees.

Thanks for hosting Marlieske!
