Goldfinches

If anyone needs a reason for leaving a few dandelions to flourish in the garden, this would be one of them.. The goldfinches were having a great time earlier this morning, excitedly feasting on the seed heads and twittering away. Sadly, a couple of hours later, R came along with his strimmer and chopped them all down! The dandelions that is ....Such a shame, I was enjoying their antics, a refreshing change from the tumble drier opposite which has been in constant use this week.... A must be spring cleaning.....
