Gardeners corner

This afternoon I was one of a group of local musicians that entertained the crowds visiting Oteley Hall gardens, Ellesmere which were open to the public for charity as part of the National Open Gardens scheme.  It was a complete sell out with over 700 visitors.  People were glad to get out after lockdowns and all the bad weather.

It's a beautiful park with 10 acres of land and gardens going down to the Mere.  There's a walled kitchen garden and lots of unusual buildings and features.  I particularly liked this corner with the old wheelbarrows and metal garden tubs.

I had tea and cake which was delicious and chatted to several people that I know.  A most enjoyable afternoon!
