Have Camera Will Travel

And we didn’t need our waterproofs

Today we decided on a seven mile walk from Thornham and along the North Norfolk Coast Path,
it was a lovely day for it.

We parked up in Thornham and headed out to the old harbour to start the walk where we came across the Coastguards on a training exercise.

Leaving them behind we carried on along the board walk passing little ponds with some cute ducks, we also spotted some white butterflies with orange wings but they were too fast for a photo but I did get this unusual fungi.

Halfway round and it was time for lunch, we found a nice sheltered spot in the dunes and much to our surprise we heard a cuckoo a sound we don’t hear where we live.

Leaving the coastal path we head into the small village of Holme-next-to- Sea where we meet a couple of donkeys in a field, our walk takes us away from the village and we head back to Thornham and on the way we pass the Lifeboat pub, well I say pass we actually stopped for a quick one.

Tomorrow we break camp here and head over to the Norfolk broads for a few days.
