Guernseys 76 Liberation Day

76 years ago our dear Channel Islands was freed from German Occupation. Due to Covid restrictions the big event and cavalcade that usually happens in the town didn’t happen. Instead the cavalcade of about 100 army and vintage cars, motor bikes etc travelled around the island. Before this we went to the blesssing of the Guernsey flag that flies on Grosse Roque at Cobo. Then to church followed by lunch out, then watch the cavalcade and later in the afternoon a war time tea at Colin’s sisters house! A local company based in the road at the end of our lane put balloons on every gateway. Thank you Bonboniera! There was a lovely sunset to end the day! See extras for more of the day!
