The temperature fell to zero overnight, so some remedial added blankets were required to get us through it!  Definitely a sleeping bags over heads night.

Things were slightly milder by morning, so we had a fairly quick breakfast to try to get a cycle in before the forecast rain.  Of course the rain started just as we set off!  Still, we managed a few km before deciding to retreat somewhere warm and dry for a hot chocolate.

In the afternoon we had the other two kids over to our tent to play games  for a bit - dobble, baby animal top trumps, giraffes in scarves, llamas in pyjames, predator top trumps, uno, and yahtzee.  Great fun was had, and there was stiff competition for our two inflatable chairs!

The rain cleared and we had dinner as a (socially distanced) group again, and this evening the after-dinner sport was football.  Cyclops was deeply wounded after CyclopsJnr came up to him and said innocently "Can you go in goals dad, because D is actually good at football".  Harsh but fair.

We were pleased to see the forecast was for a much milder night, but precautionary extra blankets were deployed anyway just to be on the safe side!
