Ixodida

Also known as hard tick.
As blipped yesterday I hiked again (together with son M.). Yesterday evening I had a tick on my arm (not feeding itself on my blood yet). Today I noticed this one here on my shoulder (of my shirt). Perhaps both couldn't find the right place to start sucking my blood, or my smell was not what they liked.
Anyway, the first one was killed immediately, this one could spend more minutes in the sun, leaving me time to get my camera, change lens, attach +4 conversion lens, and try to get a good shot. Only after that I killed it.
Why killing them? I have been ill twice because of tick bites, the first time severely.
