Rose-breasted Grosbeak

A male (the female is very different :) mid- afternoon,  at the beginning of the boardwalk loop.  The far edge of his rose breast is just visible below (well captured, if I say so myself :)  Cloudy, seasonable, with no precipitation.  Here's another, just posted, from an unspecified location.  Marylee unfortunately seriously strained her left knee--it was good luck that she was less than 100 meters from the car.
