A Grand Day Out

Gill and I have had a lovely day!

With the weather much improved from yesterday - there was actually some warmth in the sun :-) - we had a long walk via Boquhan this morning, then drove to The Smiddy where we met up with our pal, Fiona, for lunch.

(We all became friends when we met at college 50+ years ago.)

After a soup-and-sandwich lunch, on the spur of the moment, we continued to The Courtyard Café near Fintry for afternoon tea. Gill had tea and empire biscuit, Fiona chose tea with pancakes and jam, while I decided on two scoops of the famous Katy Rodger's ice cream - salted caramel and honeycomb.  Yum!

My blip is of the unusual henhouse at The Courtyard Café, with some of its residents in the foreground. I like the cockerel on the roof.
