Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Descent

I worked through the sunny morning, and then the rain arrived, but at the end of the day it brightened a little so I walked out to Sconce and back before tea.

At the cabins, one of the Barn Owls was cruising the fields. In the week or so since I was last out that way the Reed Buntings have turned up, I bumped into three males on different territories. I flushed a couple of Snipe from one of the damper patches. Lapwing and Oystercatcher were about but no Curlew and no sight or sound of the Cuckoo. Plenty of Willow Warbler, Skylark & Meadow Pipit.

This slug was enjoying the damp conditions on the wall where my favourite patch of Biting Stonecrop resides. An elegant descent.
