Hoverfly

Having spent a lot of the day cutting back the large privet hedge on the corner of my property, I only had a short time to charge round the garden with the camera before dinner and weekly choir rehearsal (via Zoom).

I had spotted an unusual looking spider, but on closer inspection she was rather battered (one leg and one eye missing), and my handheld shots of her were out of focus.  So instead you have a slightly better focussed shot of a hoverfly.
