Indoctrination!

What a jam packed weekend. Wee B had her birthday party yesterday. Just imagine. 25 kids between 2 and 6 in a massive activity center full of climbing stuff, ball pools, trampolines etc. The first casualty came after about 110 mins with a tooth through a lip but thankfully that was more or less the worst of it.
One ofthe highlights must have been witnessing a child puke as he ran. He paused for approximately 1 millisecond and then ran onwards. No-one bothered to come and wash it up....at that point I decided it was safer to have my shoes on, irrespective of the rules!!!
All in all a successful day though and we returned home with 2 exhausted children who were delightfully easy to put to bed! Then it was out for dinner for Bjornico and myself. Child free bliss!!!
Today has been the annual Barnas Holmenkollen Dag. This is where all Norwegian children get indoctrinated into the intrisically Norwegian way of "competitive" cross country skiing. Wee B is veeeeeery competitive and loves it. She doesn´t just do it once, she does it multiple times (as do many of the kids!) We had her cousin with us today and she had been asked kindly not to leave him behind. We had to tell his mum that we´d try our best but we couldn´t promise anything! Oops. As anticipated she was off and didn´t look back. Very proud of my baby girl. It is so great to see so many kids really enjoying participating in sport.
We got home and Little S crashed out in her bed and I flaked on the sofa. There is a LOT to be said for a Sunday afternoon nap..... Now, where are my slippers and granny blanket, the Norwegian version of the Great British Bake Off is starting. Yuummmmmm!
