View From Arenig Fach

The forecast today was showers and sunshine much as yesterday, but the reality was wall to wall grey and wet. Going up high was not an attractive or safe option, so after dithering for a while over coffee, we finally decided to head south and visit Arenig Fach, a lower summit at 689m with an easy circular walk.

It was magnificent. There was unexpected sunshine the whole time, a beautiful llyn to picnic by, gurgling streams with Round leaved crowfoot and even some delicate little Wood sorrel growing in amongst the heather. I’m blipping the view but any other day I’d have happily blipped the extras.
