Clamp Line

The Salpalinja ("Clampline") was to be the final barrier against the Red Army back in 1944. It was a huge effort. 350 000 three-ton stones were put in a 700-mile line to stop Soviet tanks. It was never needed, because Finnish Army checked the Soviet advance before it could be tested.
