Two Stars

I have Simon Jenkins' book Britain's 100 best stations.  He awards Grange over Sands 2*.(max is 5)  It has some delightful old ironwork in I presume the original colours of green and red .
Its Grade II listed and was opened in 1857 by the Ulverston and Lancaster Railway to take passengers between Barrow-in-Furness and Lancaster . If you are very lucky you can get a direct train to Manchester Airport as can be seen on the display, not that any of us are rushing to go to an airport just at the moment
