Colour Forms

Cannon Hall at Cawthorne, Nr. Barnsley are hosting an installation called 'Colour Forms - straws upon the water' .  It's located within their walled garden and consists of a series of hand painted spheres and two bespoke benches. My Blip shows the Mother Sphere and my extra the Sibling Spheres.
The sculptures were inspired by the story of Lady Mary Wortley Montagu who introduced the Smallpox inoculation into England and the creators felt this resonated with the current research being undertaken in the development of vaccines for the Coronavirus.
'I am afraid we are little better than straws upon the water; we may flatter ourselves that we swim, when the current carries us along'.
