Bluebell carpet

I went to the Isle of Wight today to see my sister Chrissie. I almost cancelled as the weather forecast last night was torrential rain and flash floods right over the Isle of Wight... but I’m so glad I went as that awful weather didn’t materialise. We went to Borthwood Copse, which is a beautiful bluebell wood. It’s a special place for us, as apart from being beautiful this time of year, it’s where we scattered our mum’s ashes eight years ago. The bluebells were absolutely stunning. I’ve never seen so many, it was a veritable carpet of bluebells!
