Crochet Tree Warmer

Out for lunch and a visit to a photography exhibition In Puerto del Rosario, the capital, today. Came across this - two tree trunks with crochet covers tightly applied. I have no idea of the significance, or why they were there ! But they look lovely and colourful and worthy of a blip foto.
