Shy chaffinch

A busy day at work with an online conference (it was the Neolithic Studies Group online spring meeting) in the afternoon and then a question and answer session in the early evening. It was all really interesting, but meant I didn't have much time to get outside. I did manage pop out briefly for some fresh air after the afternoon session, taking my camera with me and getting this shot of a shy chaffinch. I love the fresh greens of the new leaves at this time of year.

When I was out, there was clearly some kind on incident going on with lots of sirens and police cars and vans as I was walking out and then lots of police around in the park as I was walking home. Not at all sure what was going on.
