Saturday: Tankers

Along with about 80 of my colleagues in Canada we took part in ‘GlobalMile’ today.  About 3,400 of our staff and their families passed a virtual baton around the world as we ran, cycled, walked, kayaked a minimum of a mile, but in many cases more, to raise money for mental health charities.

It started 24 hours ago in Suva, Fiji, and we finished it here in Vancouver which meant I got to do the video for social media, wrapping it up.  The request was that I do it in one of Vancouver’s scenic spots so we headed down to Spanish Banks, where director and producer K. filmed me.  It only took us about 17 takes......the water was so far out today it looked like the tankers were sitting on the sand.

Lots of people were out and about enjoying the glorious weather.  There was also some crabbing going on at the pier (see extra).

We watched ‘Nomadland’ tonight.  Hands down one of the best movies we have seen in years.
