In Full Bloom

Auntie's Tree is at its peak right now and it is such a glorious sight with the morning sun coming through.  It is a Royal Crabapple tree.  I planted it in the spring of 2000, a few months after my dear Auntie died.  I always feature it around this time each year but this year I've combined it with a image from 1936 that I colorized.  She was 22 years old.  I think the knitted flower on her sweater goes well the the tree.  

My cough is much better.  I thought I would share my grandmother's recipe for cough syrup.  Between the Rum and paregoric, I guess that would do it!
