The Green Heart of Holland

We drove in a very touristic way via winding small roads along rivers to the ferry from Schoonhoven to the other side continuing on to Zaltbommel.  We have enjoyed every possible type of weather.  At Zaltbommel we drove further on the motorway.

This ride through the Green Heart of the Netherlands made Bert a bit more enthusiastic about a long-distance cycling tour in his home country, although I want to go island hopping and cycle through the provinces of Friesland and the Flevopolder. Both provinces are very different from the province of Zuid-Holland.
