More Unlocked

We've been wanting to find and photograph Warnscale Bothy for a few years. We set off from Honister slate mine last time and didn't  go far enough. This time we parked at Gatesgarth farm near the south end of Buttermere and walked up from there.It was a pretty steep path. It's well disguised being made of lumps of rock and slate just like its surroundings, and really difficult to see until you're almost on top of it. There are magnificent views looking down over Buttermere and Crummock Water.
One of us forgot to pack a camera, and it wasn't me.
Extra is the little boathouse/shed at the edge of Buttermere.
