Gingko - first light

We have a large gingko tree at our house and it's just beginning to show the first signs of autumn, which were accentuated by the very early morning light.

Gingko trees have shown up in fossils over 270million years old, and were thought to be extinct until a small number were found growing in central China. From here they have spread again around the world. They are a very ancient form of plant and the only species of this type to survive.
