NOT OLD ENOUGH TO DRIVE

At the SVRA (Sportscar Vintage Racing Association) race event there's time set aside for instruction. In a special class (F4) young drivers are given the opportunity of hone their skills on a world class race track.

No one in this class is old enough to possess a driver's license. All are 15 y.o. or younger. In a way, it's similar to pilot training where one can learn to fly a plane before he/she's old enough to get a driver's license (16 y.o.).

Many of the professional drivers of today started out racing go karts, progressed to R4 class and then entry level professional race cars. Who knows.....the next Mario Andretti might be among this group of testosterone fueled youngsters.
