Dabbling Duck

A male mallard looking for his tea, to be precise. He and his partner were the only two birds in this very shallow area of the loch and I watched them for quite a while as they paddled around with their bills submerged. Either they were very hungry or they weren't finding much to eat. Eventually I left them to it to go home and get my own tea.
