Rural Idyll

Beaminster looks rather attractive when approached from the north, down the hill immediately to the north of the town. This is view is from a little further away and includes Gerrards Hill on the right.  We managed to walk from Beaminster via that hill to Stoke Abbott some years ago, had lunch in the pub there and returned.  The grave of a WWI pilot lies in that area, William Rhodes-Moorhouse (https://www.westernfrontassociation.com/world-war-i-articles/william-barnard-rhodes-moorhouse-the-first-aviator-vc/)

I took that photo of the grave (Extra) in 2004; it must be about time to visit again.
