. . . wasn't supposed to happen. We thought we had missed all the snow whilst we were away. Then this . . . !

At least I can say that it is my first snow picture of the year. Here is a path through the Ghyll at the back of our house, which I first blipped in the Autumn - here and here. I really thought I had missed the chance of picturing it in the snow.
