Only missing a steam train

A beautiful morning and we had our breakfast, watching red kite flying above and overlooking the river Welland, such a lovely part of the country.

Before we spent another day with my daughter we had a drive to see the viaduct at Seaton, (Also known as the Harringworth Viaduct, the Welland Viaduct crosses the valley of the River Welland between Harringworth in Northamptonshire and Seaton in Rutland. Over one kilometre long, completed in 1878 and with 82 arches, the bridge is the longest masonry viaduct across a valley in Britain. Built for the Midlands railway it was designed by John Underwood and rises a spectacular 60 feet into the air. In early 2009, a single daily passenger service was introduced between Melton Mowbray and St Pancras via Corby, the first regular daily passenger service to operate across the viaduct since the 1960s.)an amazing spectacular.

Tomorrow we head home taking my daughter and her little dogs with us.
